Hey off topic question for you guys and AMY too,

I'm taking my 10 year old nephew to the beach on Sat. and I need a beach to take him to. Any suggestions for a nice, family friendly, beach north of Santa Monica? We're going to sit, set up a little sun shade, play in the water and relax.

And no Zuma [puke].

Thanks

will rogers, at the end of temescal.  or if you want to go way up there, that beach opposite the end of mulholland highway.  forget the name.
Like this is the racing, no?

yeah, leo carillo...very family oriented, but can get windy...although there is a cove, which is where most peeps park it.

...el matador beach...few miles west of zuma...pretty nice not too many folks know about it...usually quite deserted :)

Smokescreen

Point Dume beach.  It's pretty rockin'  Get there sort of early if it's the weekend.

West is good, and as long as you don't have an Amphicar, it's correct enough.

A few miles north of Zuma is the Rock Store, no beach there.  ;)

while it may be true that the coast is a bit curvy...in all my time living in Malibu, no one that I know (including the po-lice) refers to it as anything other than north or south. We're on the west coast. the beach runs north and south. They call PCH northbound and southbound. Regardless of where you are on it.

Just my $.02.
