Can I use gasket maker (the stuff in a tube) for the camshaft and valve covers. I have a slight leak and I think it'll seal better with goo.

You could, but chances are a new gasket will fix it with less chance of sealer getting somewhere you don't want it.

The gaskets are pretty new. Maybe they just need a clean up.

Check for a speck of grit embedded into the gasket.

If the gaskets are new a thin coat of some non hardening sealer might work.

I did a 4V bike once that the covers had been 3 bonded on...what a mess. [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang]
