Various iterations of the new exhaust ------ Frederick's bike ...... sort of seeing your ex-wife all redone with some plastic surgery... First, the Two Bros can in a very early temporary mock up mounting....... I kind of liked that but it would need work on the length & mounting angles Then there is the newer version with a Yoshimura can..... and..... and lastly...... Very clean for the most part, no ?

Damn that looks nice, as does the entire bike...my only critque would be that the windscreen looks as though it has a slight forward tilt and should come back some...otherwise...

Looks great, really like your bike. I have a 95 model with the same carbon front guard and headlight fairing (although mine is a DP carbon version). I see you have at least one radial master cylinder, which I plan to fit also. Did you run a 999 brake line or two lines from the brake m/c? Nice work.

Good eye, FP I agree, if I can it angled back I will. I think the DP tach & speedo that Ric installed may have Have a say if it's possible. Maybe Mac can comment...... Thanks for posting pics btw

Frederick's bike is fitted with two Brembo radial masters. The front brake has two separate lines. The forward tilt of the nose fairing & screen is not as noticeable in real life but there is so much stuff behind it that I don't know if it can be tilted back much more. Not only does the tach/speedo unit affect this but also the reservoirs for the masters. The fairing stays are a bit off to one side too however fixing that issue could be an entire afternoons work in itself as there are four mounting fixtures to the triple trees and I have found out over time that they are slightly eccentric so that where each one is adjusted and tightened also sets the angle of the fairing. It'd be a combination of turning them and bending the stays. Tedious.

The removal of the old-style beer tray and frame bits makes a big difference as well (don't know how long it's been like that now, as I haven't seen the bike in quite a while). Did you have the belly pan, Mac?

Nope. Frederick did that along with the tail chop. If you notice he's also got a different seat on it. Thinner foam and a custom alcantrara (sp?) seat cover.

Well....I just got power (electric) back here on Diamond Head Rd.!! I am liking all the mods Ric did....just finally got to take a blast around Wailae Iki...freeway was jammed so no Tantalus Finally got the Yoshimura R55 bolted up, still needs some finishing touches. But it is stable. It sounds quieter than my dual stock shortened cans to me. Power smoother maybe its the new gearing. Regarding the suspension handling with the 30mm spacers....it's not worlds different. I never come close to pushing the envelope...but it is quicker steering & if you point it there ...be ready that's where you going!! Thanks to all for the compliments I really have enjoyed the last years with this bike!! ***seat is a stock shaved down & recovered with Alcantara (Faux suede & carbon fiber vinyl) So doing all these mods, makes baby feel & LOOK new to me!!

Well, I finally have got the can to header to seal completely!! I was suffering from an exhaust leak and A LOT of popping on decel & virtually no engine breaking. Took the megaphone that came with the 2-1 header...cut the connection ( about 2'' ) and had that welded onto the Yoshi R 55 finally a good no leak fit. Mac's quote of "no modification goes unpunished" ...kept peeping into my head... Finally, very happy with the decision to go for the 2-1 system.
