TB Sync Questions

Going to do the TB sync this week, but first i need to build that manometer and I'm wondering what is the proper ID for the tube? I havent looked at my bike closely yet since i havent got the time, but it seems like the Ducati manual has threaded hoses and theres nothing i can actually slip over, so will i need a specific fitting?
