Strange oil leak I think

Went out for my first ride of the season, my left side swingarm was covered in black sticky oil. Got some on my rim and outer edge of my tire. Was dripping out from the sprocket cover but I'm not missing any oil. I removed the sprocket but can't see anything. I think it might be the crappy oil lub that I put on right before storing.
I'm hoping it's that, I cleaned the chain and re-lubbed with chain wax.

One thing, how do I clean my rear tire, got some fling on it as well.

I had this problem on my 796; the dealer really loaded it on when the bike was in for first service; it ended up all over the place.  The exhausts and left side of the rear tire were particularly bad, and it ran down from the sprocket under the left side of the engine and had me concerned that it was an oil leak, until I felt how sticky it was.  I used kerosene to remove it from the exhaust and wipe down the chain to remove some excess.  Then I used Simple Green on a cloth to remove the lube from the tire, and then wiped the tire with water to remove any leftover Simple Green.

Yep - mild water based degreaser or grease cutting cleaner. In a pinch 409. Simple green works well. It's harder to find, but I like Marine Clean

I would be careful with Simple Green on the tires. Not good on rubber.

As far as cleaning the chain? I went one simpler than Sad Panda. I started with that stuff but then realized it was the same thing as using some Heavy Duty Dry Silicone from the hardware store. I would come back from a ride and spray the shit outa my chain with that. It liquified anything that was already on there then dried with a nice coat of silicone. Clean and lube in one step with NO FLING!
