Weather should be sunny and 80's this weekend.  Any interest in a Muenster/Windmills/Tavoas Bridge run,

Sunday, March 25th?

We're planning on leaving around 10 - 11am.  Stop and have lunch on the patio in Muenster at The Center (that's its real name  Roll Eyes  ), then off north for the rest of the ride.  Probably back into DFW area by 5 or 6.

What say you; Yea or Nay?  Evil

I was kind of thinking the same thing......no responses at all!

Unfortunately I cannot make it.

Now keep in mind that I usually wouldn't answer up for a ride that I cannot go on but I just wanted to let you know that yes, your computer is in fact working, it just seems that no one else is answering!

I hope you get some folks to go and you all have a fantasic time.

I should be good to go next time around I hope.

Mark

By the way, did you ever get the Leo Vance exhaust back on your (beautiful) bike or are you still running the OEM stuff since putting it back together?

No worries, thanks for the replies.  I've had that crickets pix burning a hole in my pocket for a while so I thought I'd throw it out there finally on this thread...  Grin  Thought it was kinda funny...  Grin  Grin

I've got the stock exhaust headers, mid pipes and exhaust canister back on the bike.  Doesn't sound as good of course and the motor isn't running as well either; tuned for the Leo Vince non-cat system.

It's a clearance problem that keeps me from running the LV - too many places under the motor and around the right side foot peg that just don't fit precisely.  I need a muffler shop with a good pipe bender to look at it because I think the entire problem stems from the small header pipe that comes off the horizontal cylinder.  If that could be tweaked just a degree or two, I'm certain the clearance issues would domino in the right direction.

I'd be up for a Saturday run as well - should be a bit cooler  waytogo

Check with Louis for pipe work at LG Motorsports.   He fixed mine and did an incredible job.  If you need his number let me know

I'm on call this weekend, so no long trips for me, and it's not much fun riding with my work backback (back protector by dell!)

I'm canceling the Muenster ride...

Alan and I rode the route today.  It's crap.  Someone who needs to remain in hiding for the rest of their sorry-ass life oiled FM 455 - only in the corners.  It's diesel that covers the lanes in both directions.  Straights are clean and clear but every single corner is soaked in diesel.  Alan got into the first corner and lost the front, then back, fish tailing everywhere at 60mph.  He did not crash but I'm not sure how he avoided it and neither is he.

So for the dumb@#%^ who greased the corners on 455 from FM 51 into Forrestburg (about seven miles worth), there's an extra special place reserved in hell just for you.

rant off.

Glad I didn't go that way today - I went across 922 from Tioga - 2 miles of unpaved after the railroad tracks from 377 - 922 to Forestburg was fine west of 35 but 677 (??) north to St Jo is all tore up - cross cuts and ribs - very shaky with any speed - on the plus side the Muenster Loop was great!

Wow, just read this thread. Sorry to hear about the shitty conditions. Why would they do that? I haven't ridden the Muenster route since last fall but the road conditions then were at their best! They must have brought in an Arkansas road re-paving crew because the repairs they made were top notch. waytogo Unlike the typical shitty patch jobs the county road crews (or the contractors they hire bang head) in Wise and Cooke County do! Angry Well, sorry to say but it won't be long before the oil field 18 wheelers destroy what was done. Sounds like someone has already started the demise. Roll Eyes Ugh....
