hi ... I feel so silly asking  this   :-[   :-\  but I've just bought a crankcase vent filter   K&N 62-1360
http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?Prod=62-1360

In the package they was a red package of what seams to be oil......huuuuu   Where does it go ???  ??? lol

I don't know if I'm correct but in my mind I would have to pore the liquid betwen the "dents" of the filter ???

Yes, the liquid gets poured over all the folds to soak the cotton filter media.  It seems to work best to pour it on the "bumps" rather than in the "dents."

Yep as noted it's the oil for oiled cotton gauze filters. It's there to give smaller particles something to stick too.

you dont need to oil it. your engine will do that for you when it burps. :p (somewhat a joke)

Be stingy with the oil.  There is some truth in what He Man says.  Your engine has positive crankcase pressure while running.

K&N oil is quite a bit different than crankcase oil.  ;) It should also be allowed to dry for ~ 24 hours before use too.
