S2R1000 Chirping Sound from Intake

After my 7500 miles service, which I performed, I've noticed a chirping through the air box while acceleration.  The chirping gets louder the harder I accelerate.  I have verified that everything (valve clearances, TPS reset, TB sync at idle and 5000 RPM) is in spec, but something has changed to cause it.  I cannot find any intake leaks and nothing but the balance taps were disturbed.  The RH TB air bypass screw is closed and the LH screw is just open.  Any ideas?

Thank you,
Jeff

Can you record audio?
My 1000DS honked like crazy with the stock exhaust, DP ECU and open airbox. Are you running that setup?

No, I am running Termis, DP air filter and DP ECU.  It is a chirp-chirp-chirp.  I started to describe it as a whistle, but it isn't a steady tone.

Is the sound more like the first, second, or third clip?

Have you verified valve clearances *after* it started chirping?

I'm suspecting you've got an opener too tight and an intake valve is open a bit.

I checked the valve clearances and found them spot on.  No adjustment was made, so the valve clearances have been constant.

Everything required.

I am going to check the timing belts to see if one jumped a tooth.  Maybe a valve is not closing fully allowing some blow by.

Something else I want to investigate is an oil film on the oil breather connector at the engine case.  Is there something going there that is would cause a sound that would emminate from the airbox as a "chirp."

My crankcase breather cracked on my S2R1000. It did not make a chirp while running but just after killing the engine it made a long chirp or sound like a Goose call (rather than a Duc :)) Some of the sound could be heard from the intake area. I have the full Termi system also.

The breather may not be your problem but I had a "chirping sound" that turned out to be the breather. There is a hose going from the breather to the oil breather tank, then a hose going from the tank to the air box that can let some sound pass through to the airbox, especially with the open lid. I replaced the breather and that fixed my noise. I hope you figure it out.
