Just got the Termi's on my 1100 evo.  I have mixed feelings about them.  The bike currently has about 900 miles on it and they did the install at my first service.  The bike is now noticeably more powerful (to my surprise) and a little smoother, but not as smooth as I expected after reading other posts.  The exhaust is LOUD.  I had racing CF Arrows on my last monster and these are at least as loud, maybe just a little louder with the DB killers out.  So....I put in the DB killers and major disappointment.  Not only is the sound neutered more than with the stock exhaust, but the bike doesnt start well or run as well with them in.  I thought it was my imagination so I have taken them in and out a few times and i get the same results.  Would the ECU mapping need to be changed if I ran them in?

I think I would be happier with the sound somewhere between where the DB killers are in and when they are out.

Found these pictures on another forum where a guy had modified them by "grinding off" the 4 inch tip.
Looks amazingly clean, but I'm not set up in my garage to be grinding metal.

Anyone else try this mod?  I dont think the dealer would do this, who should I look for in order to help me out?

Thanks!!

Thanks!  I did what I thought was a fairly exhaustive search on the subject, but didnt see that thread.  Appreciate the direction.
