I have a M696. I'm looking to set up a Garmin car GPS to it.  Has anyone set up a GPS to their Monster?  Where/how did you mount it?  Did you wire it to your battery?  I'm not very electrical, do I need to wire a fuse inline to it?  Or should I just wire a cigarette adapter to the battery to plug the GPS into?

I mounted mine in front of the of the instrument cluster; above the steering damper.
I wired mine into the headlight harness, but you can also use the battery tender pig-tail.

if you have the stock upper triple then you should consider this also:

can you snap a pic from the back of the mount?  it's the tank mount correct?

I'm interested in this one too.

I've been searching through the archives for the same info.  I've read references to a mount that uses the stock mirror mounts, but haven't been able to find any photos or a place to buy.
