I wonder how much this will kick start the "Rossi to WSBK" rumor mill...

He'd be a nuclear addition to the class. Can you just imagine? His bike racing career is long from being over... if he wants. Just picture him on a factory 1199 (if he could stand to be with Ducati any longer! Roll Eyes) or even better on an Aprilla!! popcorn bacon bow down Cool beans. waytogo Dolph One can wish. Watching MotoGP is like sitting in the back row at high school math class. Zzzzzzzzz.  bang head

Only one way he would end up on the Priller...Max would have to retire or Aprilia would have to throw him under the bus and that ain't gonna happen as much as Rossi and Biaffi on a team together ain't gonna happen. But The Doctor mindmake the beast with two backsing the emperor all over again...make the beast with two backs YEAH!

I'd say if Rossi sticks with ducati for one more bad year and the 1199 does well in wsbk in 2013... pretty high chance of moving to wsbk

Contracts are over at the end of this year. He should jump to WSBK without even a look back. After those races at Donington I swear I'll never ever lose any sleep over missing a MotoGP again.

I say BMW was robbed in Race 2!!  But they have finally made their mark!

Yah, pretty amazing what happens when they finally start listening to their riders vs their engineers... I read a interview with Haslam and he basically said that the main issue with the previous years was that the car traction control guys couldnt get their heads around the fact that motorcycle acted differently with different TC needs.  He said they finally started to listen this year and it seems thats what they needed.

while I think it was a dick move and a racing incident at the same time...the only end result would be to put Rea and Haslam in a boxing ring to settle that one....sucks for the Bimmer Boyz....but was probably the single most exciting race weekend we have had in far too long...

No way was it a dick move.

Haslam should take a poke at Melandri if he feels the need to hit someone.

Rea was just cleaning up after the mess.

+1

Haslam left the door open a bit too much when he knew Rea was right there, then tried to dive in when he saw Meladri was running wide...hitting Rea.  Just a racing incident. Melandri just got unlucky that he was taken out after running wide.

I loved Rea's post-race comment..."I'm sorry that he crashed, but more importantly I got 25 points."  laughingdp

Yeppers. Loved that line. It was just racing. No one did anything "wrong". Just too bad for the 2 Bimmers. But nice to see them up and running with the big dogs after 2-3 years of trying. Again... WSBK rocks!!!

Watched the Moto3 race last night and it was damn good too! Too bad the big boy class racing isn't that good!! Angry

Yep. Also nice to see Kawasaki up there...same with Rea and the Honda. The more manufacturers the merrier...I love 5 bike finishes!  Grin

Now, when is KTM going to jump in? I thought they were supposed to this year.

Yeah, I'd LOVE for KTM to join the fray! waytogo Unlike MotoSleepy, I like the fact that there are so many makes of bikes battling at the front. Having the Orange Crew would just add to that battle. But I also miss the Yammyhammer team. And I wish Suzuki had another bike or two on the grid. Dolph popcorn

And yes, Sykes and the Kawi are kicking ass!! How does it get any better? Grin
