Powder Coating RearSets Question
«
on:

I'm sure this has been done before so I'm looking for some advice. Powder coating my rear sets black on my Monster 620 Dark. Buying black Oberon Billet Foot Pegs. What about the brake and shift pedals? Powder Coat? What about the rubber tips? Billet Pedals? Havent seen them out there individually although I'm sure they're out there. How is this usually handled? Not sure how it will look to have the rear sets, pegs black but the pedals silver with black rubber tips. Any advice here would be appreciated.

They sand blast your parts to prepare for powder. Not good for bronze bushings at pivot points. Unless you can find rubber plugs for the holes. The rubber tips come off easily. I painted mine with a spray can. Used the car wash and degreased everything and put on 5 or 6 coats.

Here is everything I had powdercoated in January 2011. It has held up well on my 2006 S4R. My poweder coater plugged everything and threaded bolts in everything else.

So you did get your brake and shifter pedals powder coated?

I had mine powder coated too, I think its the same place venomousr1993 did. My right foot peg has faded just a little. I can take a pic when it stops raining. But other than that it looks very good.
