..altitude.

great couple of races.  race 1 really illustrated the ducati's strengths & ..trade-offs, not necessarily weaknesses.  when in the right hands anyway.

stoked for marco.

kawi still hasn't quite figured out how to conserve tires...

I believe so...only difference it seems is there are more restrictions on the SBK's in AMA IIRC...

Yeah, poor Sykes just seems to have his donuts wear out sooner than other riders. Am I seeing that right? He's pounding away at the front then in a heartbeat tends to go backwards through the pack. Doesn't seem like it's him or the bike per se... just seems like he looses the tire grip.

Sykes seems like he's having the same teething issues that the BMW had.  Great engine, but TC prob needs work to keep it from eating those tires up.  Corser was doing the same thing to his tires last year IIRC... would be up there in the front of the pack and then drop back off midway through the race.

the kawi GP team is now the kawi WSBK team.. the biggest focus has been electronics.  the engine was already very strong, always has been.  but the bike has always eaten tires even a lot (lot!) faster than it is now.  they're getting there...

also the way tom rides may be part of the issue.  some are really hard on tires, some aren't.  i wonder how that bike would place if you put melandri on it.

Another good point. Some riders are hard on tires. Some riders in WSBK (like Spies in his day) are easier on them. Electronics help but so does the guy twisting the throttle.

And yes, +1 on Davies!! waytogo applause bow down

If it handles like the Kwaks I've ridden...

Marco would be slower.  Grin

The new ones are "supposed" to be much better.  One of these days I'm going to fanagle a test ride on one just to see.
