I've read in passing that the filler on these bikes is a common type?
what about the tank flange underneath?
is there another source for this part?

Are you talking about the conical dohicky that *was* in the fill port?

Nice to know, thanks. I had read that the top part, the one with the cap, could fit the Yammies, but didn't know about the bottom part.

Sorry - the only thing I know is that the top/outer ring is the same size and bolt configuration. After that, I'm guessing that the cap is similar. Anyway, it could be a smart place to start looking....

i saw that the FZR uses the same filler cap, but I think the lower flange is part of the tank... it's not show with a separate part # as on the ducati models..

Your picture shows a metal tank flange?
I assume the plastic tanks are similar to Yamahas with a built in flange.
Did earlier Yamahas have a separate flange on metal tanks with the same cap, perhaps?
