The Ducati rider had led the field during the first half of the session as the weather conditions restricted riders from dipping below the 2m23s bracket.

But as the light rain eased and eventually stopped in the final 10 minutes, times improved by around four seconds. That allowed Rossi to knock his team-mate Nicky Hayden off the top spot by 0.077 seconds with a time of 2m19.328s.

Cold yet dry. Crutchlow crashed on his out lap, possibly injuring his ankle. Bradl also crashed and injured his hand and or finger.

the ducati crashes during Q were amazingly similar.  Something is definitely different about their bikes.

Hayden was on a hot lap there too.

And Rossi struggled all weekend searching for the sound and couldn't find it.

Needless to say, I'm praying for rain

Excellent race! Spies looked good the first half, then got gobbled up by the aliens. Baptist looked great keeping up with the Repsol boys, but Crutchlow was downright sick with the broken ankle. It got a bit boring towards the end, but  waytogo waytogo in general.

Where's all the Casey is an Animal, he's untouchable, unrivaled talk now?

Lorenzo has been putting on a clinic of how it's done this season. On a bike that's inferior to the Honda.

Great race and great racecraft by Jorge.

Lorenzo is a beast but Stoner's pace dropped off like a rock so getting around him wasn't a skillful dismantling of a superior opponent but a matter of patience for the Honda to come off the pace.

And before you burst into flames, keep in mind that I told my wife as he was going around Stoner that I may hate him with a passion but he can ride.
But a big part of his win was Stoner not being able to maintain the pace.

That statement is just not true, the Yamaha's have had it over the Honda's all season. Look at what the non factory yamaha's are doing. That Yamaha is something special. Honda better pull there finger out of there arse or George is going to smash them
