Just looking at these on Motivationusa.com, has anyone replaced their stock cans with the Arrow DarK? How do they sound? some of the You tube videos sound kind of muffled?? Were they hard to install.

Thanks.

i doubt they are hard to install, you just need some pliers an allen key set, and a wrench, maybe 12mm?

most slip-ons are no brainers, just make sure you have the pipes lined up otherwise they look goofy

I have those cans on my 796.

http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=48158.msg1041296#msg1041296

I dont have a good high res video of them, but they are near stock with the baffles in, and loud with them out.  They really dont sound much different than any other exhaust for that bike (Termi, 2bros, leo, acro)...they all have a similar volume...just the tone changes a tad from model to model.  and of course, you dont get the ECU with the arrows, but consider a reflash to the ducati performance fuel map...thatll do more for that bike than youd believe.

EDIT:  As for installation, the rubber grommets that they gave me werent cut quite right so they took some fussing to get lined up right, but other than that they went on easy.  use a piece of coat hanger or wire to help with the springs, and prebend the straps as much as you can before you get it on the bike...makes it go WAY smoother (as i found on side #2)

Hey Freeclimbmbt,

Your bike looks great! it's funny, after looking at your pics, those are almost identical mods I plan on doing to my 796. Did you buy the Arrows from MotovationUSA? and what did it cost to get ecu reflashed? I noticed the Grips, do they help with bar vibration? Is your tail kit Comp. Werks? How was the install on that?
Sorry for all the questions, but just kind of excited to get going on some of these projects.

Thanks for all your input.

I havent gotten the reflash yet, thats next on the list. T

he grips were more a visual mod, as for the vibration...i wouldnt know, the bike has clipons on it so i dont even have the rubber isolators that are on the stock top triple.

I actually dont remember where i got the exhaust from...it might have been motovation.

My tail chop kit is actually a hydbrid combination of the CW kit and the evotech kit...i had the CW kit on my 696 and when i went to move it over to the new bike, it wouldnt fit since the 796 has the flapper valve motor in the tail.  (that i have since gotten rid of)

I like the shape and plate placement of the CW kit better, but the evotech kit is more well made and easier to install.

I have these on my 796 and I absolutely love them. I have the baffles out and the only issue is starting in the winter. I have to get a re-map soon. Last winter it would literally take 5 min to get the bike to hit a lick and stay running. The install was super easy. I recommend the evotech fender elim. Looks way better IMHO. Install was a bit harder than I expected, but not impossible. Directions had a lot to be desired but there is a great write up on here that will walk you through.

im actually quite suprised at that last video, the shapes of the exhaust dont look anything alike yet they sound very similar... im thinking of taking the baffles out for a few weeks
