dude -- how on earth did you get it to fit? ??? did you buy a bracket, or fabricate one? my life won't be complete until it's attached to my bike. :'( i have a blue one with a white stripe, *and* the matching blue seat cowl with white stripe, thank you ebay.

of course, my life won't truly be complete until i get my cycle cat RIPS system completely installed. or until the penske shock i ordered is put on. or until i get my front-fork situation sussed out. then, when i have my sargent seat, and my new gp gel "capirex" pro grips, then all will be well in the world. Really hi tech.....currently just using heavy duty zip ties!!!
I have DP tach/speedo that sits higher than the stock so I have the fairing siting atop headlight then resting against the speedo/tach.  I do plan to do something stronger and more permanent
Later
Will post pics when I get home

Too FUNNY!!!

Sorry, never caught your question about the seat....it's a stock one that I handshaved down and recovered with Alcantara (fake suede) & carbon graphite vinyl.

Assuming you mean a non-696/796/1100 windscreen.....

You need the late model headlight mounting ears, the special bolts that hold the turn signals, and the rubber grommets.

I'm assuming that you still have the small L-brackets that are attached to your upper triple.

That's what I've done to fit an '02 windscreen to a '98 M750.

i do not have those l brackets, though it oops like they would work. i will look for the parts you mention though. for now i may just use some sort of zip-tie/bungie solution like 118811

i made it work with 10-inch bungie cords from home depot -- quickly becoming my favorite store on the planet. and they work so well that i can't imagine any reason to find a different, more ``permanent'' solution. i'll post pics in the morning [thumbsup]

Thanks JohnEE

The clip ons are Apex with 4'' risers which I have set just below stock height.
