Brightest headlight option

Okay, I'm about ____ <--- that close to having the duc, few weeks away (Thank you deo!)

One of the first things I'd like to do, is increase visibility on a major level. Many retrofit HID systems look great, but disappoint in function (my truck fell for this, although it looks mean). Looking for function over form. Options? Suggestions that work best for the monster? I know my way around bikes, so if it's complicated and requires a bit of work with the harness, no worries.

I installed a PIAA super bright and super expensice bulb . . . works great

it is  replacement bulb, as easy as drinkinv a beer, no issues with hi beam

i think the simplest, cheapest, and most effective route (in my opinion obviously) is to just double your output. 2 headlights is essentially guaranteed to be brighter. the dual headlight kits available from our sponsors (monster parts for instance) change the look of the bike (i like it, some don't, i've considered doing it down the road)... but i mean... it HAS to put out more light.

Will see how this dual headlight option turn out on my 750...went from projector to this....will definitely wont be the same as projector but it will definitely change the look of the front-end.

Are the new generations of HID retrofit kits up to par on the level of OEM car applications? If they are producing that level of light, and not just for pure aesthetics, than I'm all in for that. Anyone have experience with the slim ballast 6000K models?

the reflector will not properly focus and direct light from a HID source.  You'll end up with lots of glare and pissing off everyone around you.

If you want a real "bright" light source upgrade to ur bike, then go with bi-xenon projector retrofit into your headlight bucket. Many guys like He-man, and SupraGuy, and other have done it successfully or go with the LED headlight such as Trucklite Phrash 7.

after coming from a dual headlight setup up with brighter bulbs, I am WAAAAYYYY happier with my 6000K slim ballast HID setup.  Light output is perfect.  If aimed properly, it illuminates enough in front of me and side to side without pissing anyone off.  Plus i ride with a tinted visor at night and can still see perfectly with the visor down.

I just got my twin headlight and loving it.  Im having problem with my speedo cable though, it so tight and my speedo wont work...bike is the one with the speedo front wheel.  Anyone running dual headlight have the same problem?

If it is the latter, then save your money on the xenons and pick up a Path Blazer
