Does this bike make my butt look fast?

« on: July 09, 2012, 10:21:24 AM »

Hi y'all,

Due to a tiny mishap too embarrassing to relate I find myself in need of a replacement front brake lever for my '01 Monster 750.

Don't need or want anything fancy, or even new, just not bent or broken off at the end.

<sigh>

Any hints or suggestions for the best place to scrounge up such an item?

Thanks so much!

eBay is usually the best bet for stock items. There's also the parts for Sale board here:

Call Desmoto--see if they have anything in the junk bin.  They just gave me a tail lens cover they had lying around this afternoon.

Make sure you have the same kind of brake cylinders. IIRC, the M750 had coffin-style reservoirs while Ilya's bike has remote reservoirs. I think the lever styles are different.
