I'm seriously thinking about putting together a ride like the one or two I led last year and on the same roads. But this time, the crab joint in Solomons should be open! Right Tony?

I dont know how spirited we can go or how hot it'll be, but it should be fun anyway.

Sunday July 7th is the day Im shooting for. The earlier the better. Like wheels rolling at 9am.

Meeting place will be Staples Corner  @ Rt-424 and Rt-450 in Crofton, MD. There's a new Dunkin Donuts on the lot, in addtion to the gas station and convience store that were there already. DD has bathrooms.

Let me know via this thread.

This was a great ride last time. [thumbsup]  I am planning a W.Va. ride that weekend, so we need two rides this year.  [cheeky]

Sorry bro. I had the wrong number. Its rt 424 and 450. not 454.  D'oh! Stupid brain!

Its Anne Arundel Co.

Easiest way from Columbia (and Baltimore too) is Rt-32 east to I-97 south toward annapolis. (beltway to i-97 south for you balto guys) Take the rt-50 west exit toward Washington. Once on 50 west take the exit for rt-424. Its the first one after get on 50. Bear right off the exit to head for Crofton. Staples Corner is about 2 miles from there.

For you DC guys, take 50 east off the beltway to the same exit for rt-424 and head toward Crofton.

John. It sounds like a lot of good fun.   And, yes... Stoney's (on Broomes Island and the one on Solomons Island) will be open.   I can make a reservation, at one or the other, if we can get an idea of how many riders and about what time we'd be arriving because they'll be packed.

The one on Broomes Island has outdoor dining and an outdoor bar.   The one on Solomons is also on the water and is less than a 1/2 mile from the infamous Tiki Bar.   Solomons would be a better destination.

Tony,  the 2nd one is good. I think after Wednesday we should have a good idea of how many to make a reservation for. I'll be at Rhodeside to chat this up. There's no races for me this week. Or even this weekend. For the 1st time since April I'll have a Wednesday and a weekend to what I want. And a 3 day weekend at that! My wife has to work fri, sat and sun.
