Anyone have a Pit Posse stand for their bike?  Seems to have good reviews, but didn't know if anyone had personal experience with their ducati.

http://www.amazon.com/POSSE-UNIVERSAL-SPORTBIKE-PADDOCK-STAND/dp/B000VBOTSM/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=3IE0YSNLLHDWE&coliid=IW7UAJ4BI3BSA

If not, does anyone have good stands they recommend that are within the same price range?

Looks like a copy of the Pitbull stand I have which works just fine.
Can't comment to the build quality of the posse but the pitbull is pretty good.

it looks like one of those products on which you take your chances. the design is fine, as it is a pitbull copy, but what about the build quality? you never know. if it's good, you'll be happy you didn't spend the money for the pb name, if it's bad you'll be kicking yourself for not shelling out the extra $60.

does the company guarantee it to last?

That looks exactly like the universal stand i bought from the Suzuki dealer close to my apt. Build quality is so-so. You get what you pay for. The pit bull is a better stand but this stand is 1/2 as expensive and will suite most people just fine. I knew i was going to get a SSS bike at one point so i opted for a cheaper stand for now.

I think your right Showerfan.  It's hard telling what the quality is.  Quality is pretty well tied to price tag in most cases.  It's not clear what the warranty is for the pit posse stand.  That typically says a lot.  I may end up going the more expensive Pit Bull option, but I was hoping to not spend that much.  Thanks

Check out T-Rex. They're a bit less costly and are very good quality. I own a pitbull rear stand and T-Rex front. They're very comparable.

I'd recommend a triple-tree stand -they're only about $20 more than the one you're looking at and are far more stable, particularly if you're going to be working on shocks or the front wheel. You can remove the triple-tree part and use it as a regular stand, as well. T-Rex is great to deal with, as well.

The T-Rex look good.  I'm not sure which kind to get though.  The ducati specific ones are nice... but the site does not explicitly say which ones are for the 620.

I guess I liked the idea that it's compact and would be good for storage.  But maybe I should get the one for spools and install those on the rear.  I like the idea of the triple tree for working on the front, but I primarily need one for the back at the moment.  I probably won't spring for both at this time.  Do any of their rear stands fit the Ducati Monster 620.  It seems so.

Been looking for a stand myself, I came across this roller stand and its spool version from Redline Stands. They seem pretty well built (made in the USA, apparently), although I haven't seen too many people talking about them. My main concern was that my low-mount exhaust (m695) may hit some part of the stand. The gallery on their website shows the roller version being used with Monsters (classic and new). Any thoughts?

Redline Looks like a good solid stand at a good price.  Maybe just not mainstream.  I decided to go with the T-Rex stand.  Seems like a good compromise between price and quality.  I also got the universal fit option since spools do not appear to be easily added to my bike.

I realize the OP bought his stand, but I wanted to add, I bought a Redline stand, they seem very well made, delivery was quick, the part that sits under the swingarm is rounded, so it helps when leveraging the bike up. The length is a bit shorter than pictures I've seen of Pitbull stands, but it handles the 350 lbs Duc with no trouble.

Edit: here's a pic:

So got the T-Rex one in a gold finish, just like the pit bull ones.  It's very sturdy, my only problem with it is that this is some play with where the vertical uprights are bolted to the handle, so under pressure the vertical arms do bend it a tad.  I'm not sure if this is a design flaw, or manufacturing flaw.  Really it's just that the holes that hold the bolt are simply a little too large.

That being said, it's a good stand and I don't regret getting it.
