I took a couple pics today to illustrate the difference in height between the OEM seat and the Ducati Performance Comfort seat.  The comfort seat is more comfortable but the stock seat is a bit lower and is better for spirited riding IMO.

Did a 700 klm twistie hunt last sunday with no problems. I have the comfort seat, and would recommend it.

The stock seat would have been torture after six hrs.

The comfort seat is a dream for long rides for the stock setup.
But it is higher.

The stock seat is torture for long rides.  I think 4-5 hours is about my limit on it.  I've done a few 150-200 mile days on it and I'm pretty sore and ready to get off at that point.

Not all at once I trust?  Tongue

I've put 8,000 miles on my bike with most of it on the stock seat.  The longest single ride I've done is probably around 200 miles in one day with stops at various points throughout the ride so it was probably about 4.5-5 hours in the saddle.  I've done this a number of times actually... and while the rides themselves are great fun, it is enough to make me want to get off the bike badly by the time I get home.  Wink

Is there any way to put the cowl on if using the comfort seat?

Does the comfort seat help with the intimate issue of the gas tank? I like the height, I need one after installing Woodcraft rear sets. I have Sargent seat now, just wondering if I can build it up to that height...doesn't seen to have enough upholstery. I would love to keep my Sargent for the storage compartment underneath.

Have you considered contacting Sargent and asking them about modifying your seat?

My comfort seat is four years old and the foam is starting to break down, I'm gonna take my stock seat and have a custom one made to my liking.

My fat ass and abnormaly large genitalia don't help   Tongue

Seems like the front 3" are flattening out. Even though I try to sit towards the rear of the seat.
