I doubt any aftermarket turn signal for sport bikes will be DOT.

I'd check with your states DMV codes. Here in MO, if you have turn signals, they have to function. You don't actually need them to pass the safety inspection. Same with a stop lamp, if the bike is equipped with one, it has to work.

in PA, blinkers are blinkers. in fact, you don't even have to have them. but if you DO have them, you have to have both front AND rear... and they have to be a certain width apart, so as not to confuse oncoming idio... i mean traffic
