Bad Fuel

 I went to run 2008 S4Rs and the bike ran but barely. I pumped the fuel from tank and it was really nasty. I am changing fuel filter and plugs. I would like some advise on the injectors or anything else that should be done.

Define nasty. Dirt, rust particles, sludge, black stuff, water...etc.

 More like black stuff not a clear fuel. Almost looked like diesel in color. The gas was ethanol free.

You should be fine with just changing the fuel filter. I would take advantage of this opportunity to drain and flush the tank.

How are the fuel hoses?  Deteriorated hoses might be the problem.  If you are even occasionally running E10 you need SAE 30R9 hose.  As far as the injectors go, IMO, one step at a time.  See how it runs with fresh fuel, filter and, if needed hoses.  There are shops out there that do injector cleaning and flow testing at a small fraction of the cost of new injectors.

 Thanks Guys for that. The plugs also looked like its running rich but will check after clean fuel. Does any one know of a cross reference for the fuel filter that can be purchased in the states.

That's the filter with the ground strap IIRC.

I'm not aware of a replacement.

 Its the filter inside the tank just a plastic filter Mahle KL 97. I was thinking to maybe put a external filter do away with the one in tank.

You could use the NAPA steel 3032. It works with high pressure fuel.

Don't forget to use high pressure rated hose if you add any.
