So I've been getting bent over by the DMV for the past two days for various reasons, but the one stumbling block I still have to deal with is a visual inspection of the 848's emissions sticker.  According to the owner's manual, it's under the gas tank - not an ideal location for a visual inspection.  How can I get to it in order to display the sticker to the make the beast with two backsing harpies at the DMV?

There should also be emissions info stamped into the OEM exhaust cans.
What info are they looking for? Or more importantly, why?

They have to see the stickers, which are inconveniently located under the tank.

Whenever you bring a vehicle into Cali they have to see the federal VIN sticker and the emissions crap.  I called DNA and they emailed me a letter stating the 848 was certified in 50 states, but it had to get sent to Sac to make sure it's "the right thing".

Overall it's a huge mess and I'm thinking about just moving to Reno.

I hear the housing's cheaper there:

And the law enforcement's pretty good:

Living in a trailer for no state income tax sounds almost sounds compelling.

Taxes are the price we pay for civilization Smiley

...and that's especially true when you think about living here vs. Reno Grin

All of Oregon has no sales tax + its civilized ... er... some of it. Portland anyway, is a delightful city, human, kind, civilized. IMHO

There are some nice parts of Portland. But I wouldn't want to live in a city with perpetual 10% unemployment.

That's half the reason I re-enlisted. Angry The ex-wife is the other half of the equation. laughingdp laughingdp
