Problems with buyer
«

I just sold an arrow damper to a member of this board. The damper kit included 2 posts that were fabricated by the person I bought it from.
The figment was perfect, I had the unit on my s4ra for 6 months. Buyer was aware posts were fabricated.
He says that the mounting posts will not fit on his bike, and that they are off by 2mm on the fixed post by the ignition cover.
My response was that they fit on my bike, and sometimes with ducats there are little variations and that 2mm is not bad, just tap the fixed bolt over to fix the problem.
He refuses to manipulate his bike at all to make it fit.
I have agreed to return his money, if he also pays my shipping and handling. He refuses, and has now filed a PayPal complaint.
I have sold many things on this forum, and have NEVER had an issue. Am I off base thinking this buyer is in the wrong?

Well, I don't know. I'd have to hear the other side of the argument to pass judgement. I would agree that I have had to manipulate many parts for my Ducati's over the years. On a side note, your payment requirements for the items you are selling/sold violate the Paypal user agreement.

It doesn't matter what any of us think.
A private sale is just that.
The forum is not a place to air grievances.

i bought a rather expensive exhaust designed specifically for my bike that I had to take a HACK SAW to in order to get it to fit.
2mm is like the thickness of a quarter...

I remember buying custom Harley parts back in the '70s. Proper fitment always required an electric drill, a large hammer, and a six pack of beer.

Receiving payment for parts from some Harley dudes sometimes requires an electric drill and a large hammer too.

That's because they poison their precious bodily fluids by drinking things other than rainwater and grain alcohol.
I blame floride.
