for those interested we should have a Saturday lunch meet to discuss the details.  I'd like to rent a condo instead of the Best Western which rapes you on rates.....my ass still hurts from this

We stay in cabins at the KOA. Better rates, and we can have fire! We stayed at the Best Western once. Never again.

Love me some Million Dollar Hwy--got to ride the stretch of 550 from NM to Ouray this past July.

Awesome roads up there!  Dolph

Hey Dax- it was great to see you at Ducati in the Rockies! Hell of a weekend Wink
Durango to Ouray is incredible, but I really like the Silvertin to Ouray bit. We also rode Montrose to Lake City, equally as amazing!!!
Anytime y'all are in the area let me know waytogo Dolph

Scott, good catching up.  The Ouray strip is more fun to Silverton but you can open the bike up into Durango.....well at least up to 20 miles from Durango.  Not a fan of 550 from Albuquerque though.

Agreed--It starts getting better north of Bloomfield.

Just for reference, the pic I posted above is overlooking Silverton heading north.

Yep, the stretch from Silverton to Ouray is Hoooray!!!

Are you talking about going to DITR2013 or doing a separate deal?

Separate deal. I enjoyed meeting everyone but we can count on local folks to pony up cash for a condo.  Plus not so many speed traps.  One guy got nailed twice for over 50mph.

I'd love to ride with you kids, but prolly wouldn't want to do any off-roading on the 1098 Shocked
