Having severely sprained my ankle, torn ligaments and had several stress fractures, I can tell you that even braced like crazy and with about 3 vicodein running through his system, he still felt every second of that race.

I am no Crybaby Moaner fan by any stretch of the imagination but the dude had stones about the size of 16lb bowling balls to go out there and ride like he did last weekend.

you're not serious, right?  he should risk maybe being crippled?

sure .... didn't somebody cut off the tip of their finger to race the next day? Bayliss? He's retiring who cares if he's cripple or walks with a limp. Bayliss only counts to 9.5 now and still goes out as ducati's most decorated hero. I guess stoner is also ducati's most decorated GP hero.

And since when did the DMF start defending stoner?

All joking aside.... bones heal, soft tissue not so much. Bones he could have been back out, soft tissue all you can do is get off of it.

he lost his finger due to a crash in race 1 but, iirc, they wouldn't let him participate in race 2. (donington park 2007)

Jack Burnicle just reported a rumor that  Johnathan Rae will go to Brno tomorrow to test Stoner's Honda. There are no more date conflicts between SBK and GP this year.

That might prove interesting if it actually happens. waytogo

Hell yeah it might.  I could almost see him taking out J-Lo, similar to what Bautista did, only further into the race.  That would be hilarious!!

There's a lot less 'manners' involved in SBK.  Grin

Major kudos to Cal qualifying 2nd THEN converting to a podium, great job Mr. Crutchlow!  applause

I reckon he's played the right move staying at Tech 3 one more year, let Audi sort out the Duke then move in and take Nicky's seat in 2014.  Evil

I think Nicky made a mistake with his one year deal if that was actually up to him.

It might leave him with only SBK or a CRT bike to choose from in 2014 .

A ride on the Duc is still a factory ride.

I think Nicky will pull the plug on Ducati if things don't improve next year.
He gambled on Rossi's presence pushing improvement.
I think gambling one last time, banking on Audi's contribution.
