Starter issues?

Good morning all!

So last week, Cara decided that she didn't want to shut off. Went for a ride and when I reached my destination, hit the engine cutoff switch, pulled the key and all I heard was 'click click click click'.... turned the key back on, flipped the engine cutoff switch, started right back up w/o pressing the button... Eventually had to unplug the battery to get her to shut down (no, haven't tried plugging back in yet, on my list for today). Now Mr Rackley thinks that her starter solenoid has failed and I need a new one (http://www.ca-cycleworks.com/products/electrical/21-2988). I agree but I'm also not the best mechanic in the world so asking for thoughts on the issue. I found the same part on Amazon I think: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008YEKO2I/ref=aw_d_detail?pd=1&qid=1345351384&sr=8-3...

Thoughts everyone? And what's the difficulty level on this surgery... heh

Muchos thank you!

assuming I am right on the failed part...

Jess and I did that particular surgery a while back

she did most of it, took 20 min

(this in no way indicating that females are inferior mechanics simply that Jess is not mechanically inclined... ;D )

you will have to cut some wires to use the new conectors
(supplied in the CA cycleworks kit, dunno about amazon)
