I think that Rae forced him over ..I would say Rae was more at fault than Max

Watch EVERY one of Rae's laps up to and including that one. He did the exact same thing he did every lap which was the same several other riders did. He swung slightly inside to block of the inside line during braking and then out to his turn-in point. Max went in too low, too hot and too stupid.

Crashfest yes, but some great racing in there.  I like the new track, worth the addition to the roster.

But def some pretty big upsets for the championship after this weekend... though I do feel bad for Checa... unless something goes horribly wrong with at least 3 other riders he's out.

Quit complaining, and ride the damn thing!

Max touches Rhea as he tries to draft past, which threw off his braking point.  He was hoping to run straight on and slice through the pack, but Haslam did not see him, turned in and boom.....great onboard from the Eurosport UK coverage.  The director cut to max's onboard and we got a face full of BMW rear tire/fender.  There was nothing Halsam or Max could've done really.  Max made the mistake, and apologized for it, even though it was caused by a bump with Rhea.  Not blaming Johnathan, but I have sympathy and respect for Max taking responsibility on this one!

Race 1 Haslam nailed Davies b/c they were on drastically different lines exiting a double apex right hander.  Haslam mistakenly thought Davies ran wide, when you look at Davies (and a few other riders, Melandri maybe) took a square it and shoot approach where haslam was running a smoother, shallower line pushing him wide on the exit into Davies as he closed his deeper line for a longer exit onto the straight.

That was a big crash too!  Amazind Davies kept it up, really like him as rider....no nonsense.

Sucked for Checa, I was hoping he would put on a late season charge for the title, but it is all Max and Marco now with 3 rounds/6 races left.

It's the same complaint, the Duc is underpowered. maybe they should steal some horsies from the MotoGP bike.

He's 41 years old and makes rookie mistakes when he's under pressure.

So much this.

He's a moron.

And most definitely this also.

Start freeze framing the vid I posted, starting at 24sec and you'll see how wide he was pushed, at 27 you can see dirt kicking up off the track. He was along for the ride from that point forward.

Sorry I don't see it, Rea was already out there when Max began his move.

Was he? Or at 22-23 sec did he move out there to block? Without footage we'll never know, but at 27 Max knows he's crashing, if he leaned it in on that dirty part of the track he would have low sided and possibly taken out a few more bikes.

Max was way way way off the racing line by the time that Rea made contact. He would have never made it back unless he was willing to share Rea's leathers. I agree with those that said it was a dumb move.
