with this "Whoever stole it dropped their cell phone in my trailer so I'm really hoping I get it back. "
I think tracking it down might be pretty easy

I would think so too (unless it's a prepaid).

Another reason why I will camp next to my bike when I go to the track..or at least get it to the track, secure it, then go to the hotel. Not a failsafe, but better than this happening

Yeah - while not foolproof you have to A) pay to get through the gate and B) your stuff is around other racers who are more likely to notice and do something. Parking a trailer in a motel parking lot near the track on a race weekend - I'm guessing the scumbags are out looking.
I've heard a similar thing with Daytona and other big bike events - thieves are out looking for enclosed trailers they know are likely full of $$$ bikes and tools.

Yeah... and if you don't have a lock on the coupling and the receiver pin it's just a matter of them pulling a pin, undoing the chains and hooking that trailer to a different tow vehicle. Get a couple healthy lads and they could be driving off with that trailer in just a few minutes at most.

Still possible to back track it. The owner of the stolen bike would have to get the police to initiate though.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

This sucks. Is the bike insured for theft?
