So I finally picked up a Ducati Dark Rider Helmet.  These can be hard to come by at various online sellers like due to it being sold out but my local store in Chicago (Motoworks  [thumbsup]) had one Medium left so I picked it up there. The only online option I found that had my size was the Ducati Usa Site (link below) where it was the same price as in the store.

The Good:
- Very Good looking helmet especially the chin gaurd section which is more angled with a defined vertex than broad and round like many other helmets. The style and the quality are both exceptional and the Matte Black is a beautifu shade.
- Venting is decent not the best but better than my HJC which didnt seem to vent at all.
- Very Light this is one of my favorite aspects as a heavy helmet does wear on the neck after a couple hours.
- Internal Sun Visor is awesome - love it easy to flip up and down with a small lever on the side of the helmet.  8)
- It costs $359  :D

The Bad:
- Not as comfortable as the AGV GP-Tech helmets which literally felt like putting your head between a great pair of cans (I'm not talking exhaust here). The reason I didnt go for a GP-TECH is they run $599-$799 so they were out of my price range. Maybe in a couple years. I also like the look of this helmet better than a GP-TECH although in terms of protection I think the GP-TECH is probably superior.
- There is some whistle which can be annoying but I ride with either ear plugs or earplug style headphones 99% of the time so thats not really an issue for me.
- It costs $359  >:(

So for me the good definitely outweighs the bad for this helmet and I'm quite happy with it.  ;D

Thanks for the review!  I am torn between this and the matte black Shoei RF1100. Wish I had a place near me that sells AGV so I could try one on  :(

I think I am leaning more toward the Dark Rider for the internal sun visor.  I go to work in the dark, come home in the sun, and don't have room in my current tank bag for another shield.  Not to mention it looks fantastic  [drool]

I tried both and looks wise there's no comparison in my opinion the AGV is just a better looking helmet. (almost all AGVs are) of course as everyone says go with what feels best but if they both feel the same then go for what looks best!  [thumbsup]
