I've just got a replacement k&n panel filter for the s4 in prep for the power commander v thats on order and was wondering if anybody has pics of any air box mods that I can carry out prior to the s4 being run on the dyno to map the pcv any help would be much appreciated.

Is that not the point of termi cans air box mod and mapping the power commander v on a dyno so you get the fuel air mix right or am I way of. |

thats exactly the point. if you open up the airbox, you can get more air in, but you need to let more air out with an exhaust. and if you do that you need more fuel.
thats why you generally can do one with out the other, but if you do both, youll notice lean conditions.

Typical mod is cutting the top of the lid out.
Of course, you have to leave enough of the lid left so it'll hold the filter in and seal properly.
If you've got much chance of riding in the rain (I suspect you do) it's not such a good mod.
Less of an issue with a K&N filter, as the OEM paper filter doesn't do well with direct water spray....
Some folks like the intake honking noise, some don't.
Try taping your filter on with no lid, and ride it a short distance.
I'm not particularly fond of the sound.
YMMV.

I got the disc cutter out today did I go to far or not far enough I do luv the induction honk and when the PC V comes I'll get it on the dyno and get the s4 mapped proper. Here are a few pics of the air box.   And I got a billet clutch cover today it's a bit of topic but couldn't wait to fit it.  |
