I'll be Chief Corner Marshal for the day.

Jose Ramos (tall and thin.....aircraft mechanic at Cutter...1198, ZX14, CBR929) wadded Sunday and walked away. However, a couple of hours later he was feeling poorly and after a quick examination the medical folks had him transported to the hospital. Doctors found massive internal bleeding due to a lacerated liver. Jose had surgery to repair the damage and is expected to recover.
I'll try to find out which hospital he's in today, how long he'll be there, and whether or not he can receive visitors.

Damn... I'm glad it wasn't worse.
Jose was at DitR this year.
Please keep us posted.

Jose is at UNM Hospital in the Trauma ICU. He is able to have visitors except between 6:00 and 8:00 pm according to the unit nurse I spoke with. I'll head over there this afternoon and pass along everyone's well wishes.

Jose expects to be out of the ICU tomorrow and might be able to go home later this week. He's able to eat and drink after two days without, and seemed somewhat alert despite a heavy drug load and a bit of dehydration. He seemed in pretty good shape, all told.
