Max on pole. Melandri, Sykes, and Checa Laverty finish the front row.

WTF is up with Effenbert Liberty? First they can Guintoli at the racetrack, now Smrz under the same circumstances.

Pretty low rent.

The Eurosport announcers mentioned that they might be low on funds and didn't want to pay the freight for two top notch riders.

Haven't see Race 1 yet.

I'll leave this thread for a while. Grin

IF I were a racer, Effenbert would be the LAST team I would want to work for.

Haslam and Melandri both had fast crashes.

Biaggi has a fast crash, but re-entered and got some valuable points.

Same story for Sykes as in race 1...led and dropped back after 5 or so laps.

Great racing though

speaking of...I noticed amongst all the sillyness being batted about in commentary, no one has mentioned anything of what Checa or Althea are doing next year...so I hope so!

I do have to give props to the effort Max put on in the 2nd race post that very fast crash and still get points....man...

The Apes seem to love that track! The 1199 should level the playing field on the top end side of things, at least for a little while.

...........

My local EuroSport TV commentator talked about Checa/1199/2013 as if it was a done deal, but maybe it isn't? The alternatives being a Ducati factory team or Althea with other bikes?

Ducati has pretty much come out and said 1199 private team for 2013, factory 2014

The Apes seem to love that track!

Interestingly enough, everyone kept on saying before hand that the Apes didn't really care for the Ring.
