We gave up on our original MFG who could never supply --we are just going to build them ourselves.

Plan is to build 18 of these.
This kit utilizes a standard H4 light, the H4 headlight offers great customization possibilites like high power PIAA bulbs, HI/LOW H4 HID kits, or just run the standard H4 bulb that is included with the kit.

I've been waiting for one of these.  Put me in for 1.  Is shipping free to Canada?

Have you considered just offering the adapter rings?

The factory lense is somewhere around 7 1/4" (if memory serves). Sizing it down to a standard 7" lense means that there are more options, as that is a size that many cruisers and even some cars use... therefore more options.

So this is a standard 7" headlight bucket found on most other bikes? If so, seems like a great way to get this plus the trucklite phase 7 LEDs for easy install for more light. Though it will cost roughly twice as much as doing a HID diy

I emailed Motowheels to find out if the lens is glass or plastic, and if the depth of the back of the light is the same as OEM.  Also if its free shipping because they have free shipping on anything over $100.

Got it, thanks!

it'd be nice to see the assembly installed in a stock bucket, front and side view, to see how 'clean' it looks.

Moto looks good,
through the efforts of other members I see that only certain lenses work well with HID kits... is this lense designed to work this way? has it been trialed with HID? the kit looks great and I am sure it is nice and light  waytogo... so my question is how is its performance for light pattern, not blinding oncoming traffic etc? do you have a map that shows the performace of the light?
High beam performance?

Thanks

Our original intention to build this kit was not to create a headlight that we can use to convert to HID - but to create an adapter ring so we can use standard 7" headlights on the Ducati bucket - since there are many headlights in that size available for replacement that have a more interesting appearance. That said, we have found the clear lenses to work much better for HID conversions than the fluted OEM lenses which tend to create hot spots and more glare to oncoming traffic with HID conversions.

This is the headlight using a PIAA Superwhite H4 low beam:

High beam PIAA Superwhite:

We have other options available for headlights such as this hi performance LED light that can one can upgrade to:

MW Custom LED headlight 7 inch

And why did we have to design this AFTER I made new brackets to fit a 7" bucket?  Hmmmmm?

I'd be exceedingly interested, actually, if you could give me the diameter and the depth of the unit.  I'm pretty sure the bucket I'm running is a 7" and it seems pretty adaptable.
