Is my 2010 1100 capable of running heated gear?  What is the output of the stator?

depends. are you trying to warm yeti up or just hands or a full suit.

I think you only have about 150 or so watts actually for you to use, and thats at optimal RPMs. My heated gloves (27 watts) arent that warm at idle, but on the highway, they are on make the beast with two backsing fire!

I have heated gloves and jacket.  I can't remember the wattage at this time.

My 1200GS is 720 watts,  my Yamaha WR250 is 300 and I have no problem with either.  Duck should be ok, we'll see this weekend.

Gerbing jacket + glove liners draw about 100 watts combined.

Webbikeworld found that a bike with 250w didn't work well, but at 300-400 or over it's all good
