Why do you hate it so much?  Is it because you can't afford it?  Does it make your bike feel old?  Are you just an asshole?

Personally, I think the bike is really cool, and apparently plenty of other people do too... maybe you should just mind your own business and STFU and GTFO.

1) look at it.

2) yes i think i can spare a extra ten grand if i wanted to spend it on a sub standard wanna be rice rocket without fenders 

3) I don't know how my bike feels. i will ask it tommorow and get back to you on that one.

4) It depends on how I feel on a certain day.

5) my opinion is my business   as is yours   have a nice evening

Dude... it's getting old...  we all know you don't like this bike.. what is the point in repeating yourself like this? If you have any intention in being an appreciated member of this forum,, this is certainly not the way to go about it. Childish.. to say the least! and I'm pretty sure you are in your 40s or older.. so... why this behavior? is not even funny .. it just ruins the thread with useless comments. Too bad!

The majority of the community doesn't express their opinion as "the ron" does. Some like it, some don't.

BTW, the 09 model is the only one out. You can just call it the 696. No one will get confused.

The Ron: Reread the forum rules. Specifically the part about thinking about "Will people think I'm being a jerk?" before posting.

From the "report to moderator" complaints we've gotten... well, clearly, people think you're a jerk.

Modify your posting style, or find another forum. Normally I'd be a bit more polite, but I remember banning you from TOB for similar reasons.

Since this topic's already been derailed...

The ron actually made a pretty friendly/ funny post in another 696 thread... actually managed to not bash the 696 (and be welcoming to someone thinking of buying one) for a few posts, until he got called out on it and went back to playing the part we know and dislike.

But back to what this thread is supposed to be about... I've always liked the idea of Ducati. It had an air about it that i thought was what biking for me should be about... but i never really dug the looks.  It was like looking at the librarian everyone says is good in bed and thinking "yeah, but she's so mousy"... then i saw the 696, and damn if she didn't let her hair down and slip into a pair of skinny jeans.  It's a beautiful bike.  And it's going to be my first, if i can just get the deal i want on her.
