I know I have beaten this subject to death, but one more question please. In all of the photos I have seen, the pipes look like they have a "taper" to them.(Getting smaller towards the open end). I am getting close to a decision and just want to make sure they are right for me. Only other thing is getting a DP ECU without having to shell out for the termi kit.
08' S2R 1K   That was close  damn near lost a $400 hand cart.

They do have a very slight taper. Smaller at the exhaust entry tapering to bigger at the outlet.

And you can buy the DP ECU separate to the Termi kit. Mine was part number 96517906B.

I put on the Zards, DP ECU & DP Open Airbox, had it "tuned" by my Ducati dealer and it was a new fire breathing Monster....  [thumbsup]

I assume by 'pipes' you're refering to the canisters, in which case Big T is correct - slight taper. Not something you really notice unless it's pointed out to you.

Apart from the ECU (I run a PCM3), only other issue is the lack of a heat guard. I prefer the clean look of no heat guard. Just applied a heat resistance mod to my boot.

Opposite of what you said. Bigger at the end of the can(like "Big T" said) Which could present a slight problem if you ever considered shortening the Exhausr cans.

I havent seen any one with the PC3/Dynojet or Rabidbike post any significant Dyno #s like the ones posted by the guys with the DP ECU.
Rumor has it that Rapidbike now has a fix for our S4RS. Dam rumors  :)

Fixed the heel guard issue with some CF, a dremel, SS hose clamp and bracket from my local Duke dealer.....  [thumbsup]

+1.  Me too.  I think to many people ruin the look of the pipes by adding a heat guard;  not worth the effort IMHO.
