Am I missing something?  It's a red monster with a chrome headlight support and some gold accent?  I'm looking at it on my phone. I admit, but no tricolore paint or anniversary retro tank badges or anything?  Not even a cool pipe treatment?

Ok, found the "uncrate" article that adds in a few bits, but anniversary editions always blow.  Except for the Paul Smart, which I guess wasn't really an anniversary edition

Oh, and the mh900.  Ok, nevermind about special editions, they rock.  This anniversary edition seems underwhelming.

I *want* to like it.  I just can't help wondering how they came up with their list of parts to retro up.  It's like they were all sitting around drinking espresso and frenet branca, and one of them went ( insert heavy italian accent ), "holy shit, Marco, tomorrow is the anniversary of the monster, and we don't have nothing for her!".  And then they just grabbed some shit from the hotel lobby gift shop and went back to drinking.

Uh-oh ... what's going on here?

« Reply #6 on: October 18, 2012, 10:59:42 AM »

Give them some credit, they probably figured that since there is only three Monsters left worldwide that have the stock mickey mouse ears that ... that feature would make them unique.

... and if they don't make the special edition 'special' it won't sell in great numbers and hence become more 'collectable' in the years to come.

One of those three pairs is on my Monster. I really like them!  Dolph
