Rustic Roads Pics

As discussed in the other thread. Three down today on my day off. All the scenery was nice, some gravel roads though.
Anyone down for a little contest. Say first to 10, first to 25?

Good for you, three done in one trek.
How much of the roads were gravel? I'd imagine the majority of the roads are at least 90% paved right?

R65 is completely gravel except for about 1000 ft or so on either end, fairly dense pack with no ruts. I wouldn't drag a knee, but it wasn't uncomfortable. The other two were fully paved.

And the Race is on! Yeah.
Obviously pictures should be posted (since you'll be taking them anyway)

It's definitely do-able to hit 10 in a day. I stayed north of Milwaukee since I didn't want to deal with weekday traffic. Racine and Walworth are loaded with them, just those 2 counties alone will get you to 10.

Alright girls, 3 more for the tally. I've covered all of Ozaukee, Washington, Waukesha, and Fond Du Lac Counties. Elkhorn is right in the middle of Walworth, and there are 5 to choose from there. I'm thinking the 2nd Sat in August, hit the brunch and finish the first 10.
And a little ride report: 10 and 86 are kinda boring. Good scenery and all, but not that thrilling of a ride. Not to mention traffic was rather busy as it was a weekday around 11am. 33 on the other hand, was a blast. All the roads around the Holy Hill area are fun and curvy. Check out Plat Rd, Emerald Dr, and Monches Rd. Some rough spots and wildlife, so be careful. Excellent scenery too.

It's ok to repeat a Rustic road right? Per the COW's rules? I was going to do 33.

You can definitely repeat one that another member has rode. If you want a challenge, you can get a picture at a different rustic road sign for the same route. The pic from mine is the corner of Emerald Dr. and County K. There are others, I'll let you know there is NOT one at the north point on St. Augustine where the route turns on Emerald....

Is it as bad as I remember? I went down that road in my Passat one spring day. Never went back. Sure it was fun sliding the rear around in the gravel, but bumpy. very bumpy.

Yep that road sucked, forgot to put that in. The paved parts weren't bad, but the gravel was rutted and bumpy.
