Nice but shit that's expensive.  I'd rather buy an original for half the cost

Maybe I like it because it looks very similar to my (now sold ... sich  Cry ) old 2001 Bandit.  The CB1100 has less plastic though.
87HP ... I bet that engine can do more than that with simple tweaking  Grin

Gotta say again...this a great bike.  I love the lines, too.
Price not so much.
But being a Honda it would be ride, ride.........and on.
Also, other than maybe a new exhaust....no mods would be needed. waytogo

Yea, lets be honest here.  Being a honda. the only thing that thing is going to need is gas.. and its going to run indefinetly. No elctrical problems, no major maintenance intervals.. yada, yada , yada. It looks good, and the reliability I guess justifies the cost.

Ugh, side panels.  Can't Honda come up with a better way to hide the battery?  The tabs on those things are always breaking.  I'm still looking for the right side panel for my 83 V45 Magna.  One of the corners broke off, so that tab is gone.  Feh.

Which competing bikes are you using to figure what the price should be?  I think Honda is trying to place this just above the top of the line Triumph Bonneville.  I think the two-tone Bonneville T100 is about $9K?  This CB1100 has about 20 more hp and 275 more cc in engine size. So maybe that is how Honda is trying to place it in the market.

The Bonny has more in the looks department IMO.  I'm not comparing it to any particular bike just feel it's way to high no matter the brand.  I personally think they would have struck gold at around 7k and done something more aesthetically pleasing on the single-sided exhaust.  I'll also stand by my own choice in that I want no ABS.

Only the most entry level bikes are much below $10k these days.

And probably half three market or more is priced in the $15-20k+ range.

So what the heck it's wrong with $10k for this. The 1200 Sporty, the T100/Thruxton, the 696, the V7 and V7 Racer are all in this ballpark.
