I just bought a 2001 M600 and it didn't come with a front fender. Want to get one to protect the fork seals and prevent myself from getting blasted with water on rainy days (I ride daily rain or shine). I read that I can swap on a fender from the 848 and 1098 which in my opinion look a lot more sporty than the stock OEM fenders on these bikes. Looks to me like it would be a direct plug and play. A little worried that the back of the fender may not provide enough wheel coverage. Looks a little short in the back and am wondering if anyone has any experience riding in the rain with these fenders. Also... a picture would be helpful too

I don't think you can get both.
Don't think 848+ fender will fit.

i think it's the 996 or 748 fenders that will fit your bike.

Not sure, but I think ST2/3/4 fits and you can add an ExtendFenda to cover some more of you and the bike.

Interesting. Well I am glad that I made this post before I bought anything. Does anyone have any pictures of a Monster with a 998 or 748?

this is a very common mod, and a google image search will provide you with some idea of how it looks. however, if you dont like it, i would be happy to trade you my stock black front fender (of an 06 s2r1000) for a CF 998 front fender.

You will need one for a umm don't remember the year or newer to get the correct bolt spacing.

Edit: I stole this picture from Gitter. Looks like its a 2012 796 and I really like the fender. Any chance it would fit my bike?

I think the SS has different spacing, but most others are the same i though.
i have a 696 and I'm using a 916 era front fender.
i have a ST2 and it uses the same spacing.
and pretty sure the 848 will also work.
the 999/S4RS obviously are different as well as the SS I mentioned.
The naked bikes tend to have the longer back end

Pre 99 SS is different, 99 up SS is the same.
