Been out of the game for a while - had a lovely '98 M750 back in the days of the old DML Cam list (selling it was such a mistake  [bang]) but recently picked up a multistrada 620 for too good a deal to pass up... my question is who are DC residents using for insurance?  I was on progressive which was fine when i used to live in VA but they do not represent in DC.  Anyone happy with their coverage?  I know Geico is an option but... never a fan before.  thanks, looking forward to the spring and more of these nice weather weekends. I use foremost. I'm paying about 50 a month on a 696 monster.

Thanks, i've never heard of them but will be sure to give them a call.

I've had my daily driver (VW Golf), Aprilia scooter, and S2R1K insured with State Farm for 5+ years.  The S2R1K piece is $570/year.  I've never had a claim with them so I can't speak to the claims process.

And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Another vote for Foremost.

$382/year for a s2r 800. Should note I was 24 when I got that quote too.

Jeez, that's a lot cheaper than my rate and I'm 32.

Remember that the coverage details can make a big difference, so make sure you're comparing apples-to-apples.  I pay $570/year for my S2R1000, but I have $500K liability coverage and $500 deductible collision & comp.  Reducing the liability coverage to the state minimum, and increasing deductibles, would bring the annual cost down significantly.

and to dovetail onto what Dave said...I do in fact carry higher coverages just due to some of the more affluent vehicles around here...if you happen to t-Bone some asshats Bentley for example...the coverage limits will be hit quick leaving you liable for the remainder if you are found at fault for any reason...and due to some of these asshats having the $$$ for better lawyers to argue any and all points....it just isn't worth it to me to not cover my assets!!!

That is true. I'm on 100/300/50 for both bodily and underinsured. 500 deductible. No medical.
