Hello,

I have a 2010 696 and just bought the Ducati Touring Seat for it.  It doesn't fit well at all and is almost impossible to get the seat latch to catch.  I tried to adjust the release mechanism to no avail.  The seat won't lay down like the stock one did.  The seat pans look identical so not sure what is happening.  It seems the seat is binding somewhere but I can't tell where.  I am able to get the seat mechanism to engage but only after putting excess pressure on the seat.  After that the key doesn't release the seat without some serious coaxing.

Anyone have this issue and, if so, how did you rectify it?

Thank You

I don't have a 696 at hand, but on earlier models a couple of washers under the latch can fix that issue.

+1

Mine wouldn't latch easily at first, I greased the latch and over time it fell into place like the origional.

I have 795, and DP comfort touring seat.
It was hard/difficult when the seat was new, the very first time I put it on the bike I thought I received a wrong seat... but it became easy after a while.
