Yup, it's supposed to sound like that....

« on: February 11, 2013, 08:12:43 AM »

Looking around my place I keep contemplating what to do with the Monster parts I can't use on the S4.  Build a bike, sell the parts or keep them on hand.....Kinda want to go the build route but need some prodding.  Here's what I've got laying around

S2R800 ECU and Gauge
S2R800 complete wiring harness
2 S2R800 fuel tanks
S2R 800 frame
999 Showa forks
53mm Woodcraft clipons
OEM Headlight
S2R 800 frame
999 10 spoke front wheel with Galfer rotors
848 10 spoke rear wheel
Galfer rear rotor for SSS bike

and lotsa bolts.....

What motors will slide into a S2R 800 frame other than the DS1000 engine in the S2R1000?

Later 600, 750 and 900 - earlier have a smaller dia on the front support rod. WOuldn't have hard to deal with, but something to be mindful off.

Talk to Pepe, you could build your own 'Bianca' with a rear swing arm and some other bits.

Or, many of those parts are desirable. You could sell them off

 Huh?  Support rod?

Are you meaning the 10mm & 12mm engine mounting bolts?  That change occured in 2000/2001.

2000 & earlier motors had 10mm engine bolts, 2001 & later have 12mm.

Hahaha.......I start to put something together and now people want to buy the parts.  Been trying to get rid of some of this stuff for a while now.  Someone just took my Galfers so the stock 999 rotors will now have to be used.

I think a 900 engine would be nice to play around with.  They aren't that often posted on ebay.  Time to look around and see what I can find.

laughingdp, sorry.
Always seems to happen that way!

I just went looking for your thread right now, I found it. Of course, now I'm a couple months late..... bang head

Anyway, if you decide you don't need the gauge, and maybe the ECU, for your current project I'd be willing to take it for your last asking price. Let me know.
