One mans "gorgeous" is another mans "hideously gross"

I'll be in the latter category...

 EVERYTHING!

except the centerstand, those are handy as hell

I have reviewed my plan.

Stock Oscam 16 inchers with Avon Azaro 130/70/16 and 150/80/16.
40mm 4 pot Brembo calipers and 300mm floating discs, radial master, braided lines and caliper adaptors.
CV38s and pods or modified M900 airbox while I modify the Weber44. A mate might trade me his FCR39s.
Exactfit coils, Ignitech.
Lowered passenger pegs and pipes (a smidge). Customized seat.

Redo the wiring and electrics.
If I get a 1990 model, its a two yearish project. By 2015 it
will be eligible for club  rego.

I like how the Paso has 10:1 pistons and early dry clutch.
Bigger valves and 900 cams might go in if I have to pull
the heads. I got time to paint the frame and fit parts at good prices

actually the Paso, 851, 888 are all very nice and curvey, pictures just don't convey the fluid lines well.
the first gen Hurricanes are another favorite of mine.

Well put.

The 80s were a weird time for a lot of things.  If you put it in context, the Paso made some bold innovative attempts.  Some good, some not so good.

My Uncle has the CLEANEST 907ie I have ever seen. I ride it a few weeks per year when doing maintenance and mods to my M1100s. It is a quirky but COOL bike. It always turns heads and gets a crowd at my local bike night.

It is not fast, does not handle great but somehow cool to ride... And put me in the "Looks Good" catagory. and BTW his other bikes happen to be an ST4S and a Grand Canyon (talk about odd to ride)...

Massimo Tamburini designed it, it has to be beautiful!  Sorta.

916 and the 750 Paso, beautiful success and quirky failure.
I'll end up with the Paso  laughingdp.

the Cagiva isn't that odd....I have one...and I think I am odder than it!

though, I admit it feels weird when you wheelie it the 1st time...

Mentioning the Paso in the same sentence regarding style with the 851 and 888 should get you banned!  laughingdp

851 & 888 =  waytogo

Paso =  vomit

This is an original 906 (16inch wheels):

A looker IMHO.

In my pic you see lowered pegs (MW Variopegs).
I believe clutch parts are hardest to find f the 750.
All the help you need: http://ducatipaso.org/
Good luck w the project!

Cant put a "sport tourer" in the same category as a sexy sbk.

Wanna talk ugly, the previous generation Multistrada is the ugliest bike Ive ever seen.  Im surprised it took so long for Ducati to revamp that toad.

Ugly sure, but effective and fun to ride. Too bad the revamped version still looks like crap.
