Boom Tubes require a tune up?

my 2 into 2 with no crossover are as close to equal length as i could get unscientifically
and for sure my bike pulls harder than before


changes were just the exhaust from stock to the 2 into 2 for comparison
and when i had aftermarket at the stock location, still not as much grunt as now.

I think there is a lot of room for improvement in the stock exhaust design...as you discovered.  Like any OEM part; a compromised design executed at the lowest possible price point.

I am thinking about buying boom tubes and I'm sure this has been discussed here before..does my 696 need a tune if I installed them?..I'd imagine there's a huge reduction in back pressure and also the length of the two exhaust pipes are much shorter and also much different in length to each other..would my local Ducati shop be able to do the tune?
I love the idea of freeing up the rear end of weight and big cans...and all that heat!
any input is appreciated.
