So my wife and I finally picked up a bike for her.  A 2009 696 with 3000 miles on it in great condition for a whopping 5600.  It also came with the original levers, a second set of mirrors, a DP lowered seat (as well as the original) and   I felt it was a pretty good deal considering the previous owner was maticulous about his bikes as he owns 10 most of which are collectors.  We were very excited to come across the deal as we were wanting to get one a while ago. I must say the 696 is a bit more twitchy than my 796.  Maybe it was just my nerves on a cold as hell ride home.  Anyways here are some pics with the newly setup front half of our garage.

She knows itll be hers one day.... thats the smile of approval!

The beauty of it is at the moment she likes it just the way it is.  Except the cans, grips, mirrors, headlight assembly color and the original bars..... SO IT BEGINS!!! he he..... I swear its like a drug...

look for a Honda CRF50 or an older Z50 now for the baby...and follow that up with a nice YSR50 perhaps while Momma hones her skillz on the 696!

Fixed it for yah.

Great price - Give it a good going over in your *spare time* haha. Probably could due for new fork oil and might need lighter rate springs to suit the wife.

In about 2.5 years, the munchkin could ride a clutchless 50. It's rather amazing to see videos of little kids, in giant bobble helmets puttering about with some amazing level of skill, considering

Weve got a couple 25cc two stroke pocket dirtbikes that will probably be her first bike of any type then she'll progress from there!  Grin

waytogo  Can't wait for my wife to get another bike so we can ride together but at this time she's focused on having one of those things they call a kid.  Grin  I always used the "bikes" as an excuse to buy more shit.  Evil
