Club Rego. How old a bike?

In Vic, you can get affordable club rego for 45 or 90 days. Does a bike have to be 25 years old to qualify?

Often wrong. Never in doubt.

Yup, 25+ is the rule Tony.
You also need to be member of an actual club and have their written endorsement for your Club Rego application.

i dont care if you have been a mechanic for 10 years doing something for a long time does not make you good at it, take my gf for an example shes been walking for 28 years and still manages to fall over all the time.

Thanks.
Hmm. Maybe Paso project.
900 motor, flatslides and airbox mods, later front end with good brakes and 17inch wheels. A tourer for the GLW and myself for weekend trips.

Unless the rules have changed:
Yes, 30 years
You also need to be a member of a Club that endorses an historic-plate scheme
The Club needs to be affiliated with the CMC (Council of Motor Clubs) - I don't know if there are other avenues
Club can do roadworthiness inspections
You can only use your 'Club-plated' vehicle on Club 'events' (they need to be documented by the Club). Historic plates are a nice shade of mulberry (writing) so they do stand out as being different

"Vehicles which are replicas of vehicles in the above-mentioned categories may also be issued with a club permit."
^^ That bit is interesting.... So you can put a brand new vehicle on club rego as long as it
looks
like a 25+ year old bike/car?

Yep, like Shelby Cobra and Austin Healey replicas!
Brad, part of me really likes the 750 Paso.

Why don't you say what you really think! LOL!
Each to their own, I wouldn't but many would, and do!
I'm just envious that his GLW has endorsed the purchase of a second (make that 3rd) bike for two up touring duties!

$67 for 45 days riding or double that if you need. However, I will have to spend some time with Pasoists!
Hey I'm being responsible! GLW wants me to get a new sports tourer (like Hyperstrada)! For all that dough and full rego on a bike we ride occaisionally, no way. Clearly I'm a Luddite!
I'm taking the affordable, reponsible option!
Only need a comfy 750 to get to the B&B. I'm going to upgrade the carbs, brakes and make it reliable. It will be a good project.
